GoSavvy Goes Global!!! We had planned to take a one-week break and approached Mr.Abhijit Bhandari, who heads our travel vertical – GoSavvy . No sooner had I mentioned our plans than the GoSavvy team took complete charge, requesting a free hand in planning and scheduling our travels. On the penultimate day of our trip, our children bombarded us with questions, concerned about the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. But Abhijit confidently assured us that our travel route was safe — we were flying south of the hemisphere. Much to our relief, that very evening, both nations declared a truce. As scheduled, we boarded a late-night flight from Namma Bengaluru to Hanoi , followed by a connecting flight to Da Nang .   Upon arrival, we were warmly received by our smiling guide – Andy , holding a placard. What caught my eye and stirred my heart was the GoSavvy logo alongside our names. A thrill ran through me — and in that moment, I whispered to myself, “GoSavvy has ma...

PLASTICS – THE MIRACLE MATERIAL AND ITS COMPLEXITIES Today, I wish to delve into a subject of profound significance that permeates our daily lives: plastics and their ramifications. Our organization, entrenched in the plastics industry, processes and sells over 5,500 MT of various grades of plastic raw materials annually. It is imperative that we consider the management and disposal of waste generated from this substantial quantity. While 5,500 MT may seem modest in comparison to national or global consumption levels, the gravity of the situation demands a unified approach and heightened awareness. Every initiative we undertake has value, and I invite my esteemed colleagues to contribute their insights on how we can enhance public understanding of responsible plastic use. One proposal is to incorporate a directive in our quotes and invoices that reads: "Please recycle or dispose of plastic waste responsibly." Additionally, I propose that we ban the use of single-use mineral w...
WE ARE, WHAT WE EAT!!! “We are, what we eat” is an excellent phrase which most of us knowingly ignore. With Swiggy’s, Zamoto’s, Uber Eat’s, Foodpanda’s etc, dominating our dining tables, I felt this would be an appropriate time to write a blog on this subject.   Another valid reason which triggers the urge to pick this subject is the sudden and untimely fatal deaths that we are seeing in the younger generation off late due to sedentary lifestyle.   Life has become so uncertain and the watchful alarm bells could not have chosen a better time to wake us up. From ancient times our Rishis and Ancestors have advocated the art of eating and leading a Healthy Life.   It is our own ignorance...
