MAL’s Humorous Awards for the Year 2024 – Just for Fun!

As we stand on the brink of bidding farewell to 2024, and ringing in 2025, it’s time for our customary Humorous Awards to celebrate the fun and laughs that made the year unforgettable! Let’s give a huge round of applause to our winners – they have truly earned their spot in the limelight!

The Winners of 2024:

1.     Habitual late comer’ of the year award goes to Krishna Kumar - out of 295 working days during 2024 he has consistently come late on 294 days, he just missed scoring 100% by a whisker – Hard luck KK  – a huge round of applause to him ladies and gentlemen! 

2.     ‘The Bachelor’ of the year award goes to – None other than Abhijit Bhandari, he is consistently contesting this category and walking away with the award each year.  In fact, I performed Havan to get him hooked, but nothing worked and to my dismay he walks away with one more trophy to fill his collections. 

3.     ‘The Giggling Doll’ award for the year 2024 goes to – Mrs.Kavita Satalkar, be it a  conversation of casual or serious – she giggles and ensures the other person on call (read NK) also end up giggling with her. 

4.     ‘Tummy - Madhya Pradesh’ Award for the year 2024 – this award went for a toss. It was a virtual war and kiosk - with so many contestants lined up -  Uday, Guru, Raghavendra, Kallapur, Gappan, Jai Kishan, Valnur Kumar, Ram – OMG the list was endless.  But ultimately Uday scrapped through by a thin margin and was declared the Winner after many rounds of counting and recounting. The last thing that I heard was - Guru and Kallapur have gone, on an appeal with Mr.Annamalai, and he in turn has advised me to provide the entire statistics.  Now, I have approached Sarika Ji, to create a Dash Board to justify the winner. 

5.     ‘The New Look’ Award for the year 2024 goes to – Pradeep for his stunning looks after the makeover.  I literally fought with him the day he presented himself with the new look.  I said you could have ordered one more for me as well.  I still hold a grudge on him for that injustice. 

6.     And finally, ‘The Alarm – Church Bell Boy’ award goes to NK, for consistently troubling   everybody in the group by sending reminders to reply to mails.  Sreemali has whispered in someone’s ears that - his persistence is unmatched and slightly terrifying as well – ha ha….! 

Friends – I pray that -2025 be filled with just as much joy, camaraderie, and humour.   Let’s celebrate what makes us unique and continue creating memories that last a lifetime.

Once again, it was just for fun sake and to bring smiles on all our faces before the Sunsets on, 2024!!

  Daughters are Special Gift….!!! From the time immemorable, many stalwarts have written a lot about Daughters, and I thought it would be apt to join the band wagon and pen on this incredibly special subject called ‘DAUGHTERS’!   World over, this week is celebrated as ‘Daughters Week’ and it triggered my enthusiasm as well to share my candid feelings…..!!   GoSavvy Goes Global!!! We had planned to take a one-week break and approached Mr.Abhijit Bhandari, who heads our travel vertical – GoSavvy . No sooner had I mentioned our plans than the GoSavvy team took complete charge, requesting a free hand in planning and scheduling our travels. On the penultimate day of our trip, our children bombarded us with questions, concerned about the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. But Abhijit confidently assured us that our travel route was safe — we were flying south of the hemisphere. Much to our relief, that very evening, both nations declared a truce.
